Just like flowers that bloom in unexpected places, the JAZZ à SEMUR festival was born and took root in the capital of the Auxois-Morvan region.

The result of the determination of a few individuals, it continues to thrive and grow with each passing year, albeit modestly.

WeARE4 – Laurent Coulondre, André Ceccarelli, Léo Chazallet, Sly Johnson – 05/07/2024

After a brief move to Le Bahut in 2025, the 2026 festival returns to the park at Semur-en-Auxois Town Hall.

During the first weekend of July, this park at the foot of the Collegiate Church, a veritable green oasis in the heart of the town, with a capacity of around 400 seats, encourages interaction between artists and festival-goers.

Beyond the pleasures of music, previous editions have showcased the local terroir through our catering and summer bar.

The JAZZ à SEMUR festival was created by the JAS Association

The various ways to get to Semur-en-Auxois will take you to the city center of the capital of Auxois-Morvan, where our festival is held.

Founded in 2019, the JAS association currently (December 4, 2025) has 58 members.

In 2025, 24 members volunteered their time to make this festival happen, as they have done every summer for the past five years.

Five years, because the festival only really got started in 2021.

The first weekend in July quickly became a significant event in the cultural and musical life of the town of Semur-en-Auxois, but it now extends far beyond the boundaries of the Côte-d’Or department.

Via the Gallery menu, you can discover the artists who have done us the honor and pleasure of coming to play during the previous four editions.

Our resources

To succeed in this mission, we rely on partners who accompany and support us financially.

Our second source of income consists of profits from ticket sales (via HelloAsso and the Semur-en-Auxois Tourist Office) and revenue from our refreshment bar/restaurant, which accompanies our three summer evenings.

Finally, our public partners also make an important contribution and provide necessary support for our budget.
